'Lost' Stars To Be Turned Into Action Figures
29 May 2006 (WENN)
The stars of hit TV drama Lost are to be turned into action figures by toymaking giants McFarlane Toys. In a licensing agreement with Disney-ABC Television Group's Touchstone Television, McFarlane Toys will produce a series of action figures, which will be in stores at the end of the year. The first batch of six characters will feature Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Hurley (Jorge Garcia), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and Shannon (Maggie Grace). Each action figure will come complete with a detailed base and photographic backdrop, capturing an episode-specific moment in the character's story. McFarlane Toys boss Todd McFarlane recently spent time with the cast on location in Hawaii, where the desert island drama is filmed, to develop artistic likenesses of the stars. He says, "All of the key cast members were kind enough to allow me to scan their facial likenesses, so we can make the figures as realistic as possible. We now have the data. In the end, we hope to be able to re-create all of the major cast members. As the years go by, fans of the show will be able to collect their own society of Lost characters."

'Lost' Siblings Start Dating
24 April 2006 (WENN)
Actors Maggie Grace and Ian Somerhalder, who play spoiled step-siblings Boone and Shannon on hit TV series Lost, are dating off-screen. The celebrity couple are regularly spotted out together in Los Angeles, but have tried to keep their budding relationship under wraps. A source confirmed the romance to American publication Us Weekly adding, "They stay out of the limelight, but they spend a lot of time hanging out and working out together at Gold's Gym (in Venice Beach, California). They kiss and hold hands when they come and go from the gym. You can tell they're a couple." The pair were romantically involved in a flashback sequence on Lost in its first season.

'Lost' Draws Killer Ratings
10 November 2005 (StudioBriefing)
Demonstrating once again that there's nothing like killing off a regular character to produce solid ratings during a "sweeps" week, the producers of ABC's Lost shot down Shannon, played by Maggie Grace, on an episode that garnered a 13.1 rating and a 19 share (8.3/20 among adults 18-49). Executive producer Carlton Cuse told USA Today that Grace was "really awesome" after learning that her character was being written out of the show. "We had to negotiate her contract for this season, so she's known for a long time this was coming. But she was nothing but absolutely professional and completely tight-lipped and completely a team player in terms of going to events, doing interviews and participating as a full member of the cast without giving any indication that she was dying." Despite Lost's strong showing, CBS's Criminal Minds also produced solid numbers during the same 9:00 p.m. hour, registering a 10.1/15.

Grace Horrified by Holloway Robbery
14 October 2005 (WENN)
Josh Holloway's Lost co-star Maggie Grace is horrified to learn of the actor getting robbed in his home, because she knows he only just completed work on the dream property. As the actor and his wife Yessica slept in their Hawaii home on Wednesday, a gun-toting burglar reportedly awoke them as he took cash, credit cards and a Mercedes-Benz, which was later found abandoned. And Grace, who learned of the incident during her current visit to New York City, knows just how much the home and vehicle mean to Holloway. She says, "I've been running around New York so I hadn't checked my voicemail in a while. I've since talked to quite a few people. Everybody's okay, thank God. They're really important people to me and it's really scary that they had to go through that. Even though they're okay, they just finished their house and Josh has worked really hard his whole life to buy his first house and a car as a gift for his wife. And now to kind of have that sense of safety sort of shattered."
